Our Charities
The Missing Children Society of Canada was established in 1986 to help these families. Since then, their unique and comprehensive programs have assisted police and families in active and ongoing searches for missing children, helping to bring answers and returning missing children to a safe haven.
Our Mission and Vision
To return missing children to a safe haven through professional investigations, emergency response, public awareness and family support programs. All missing children returned to a safe haven and the elimination of child abduction in Canada.
What We Do
Investigations: Our investigators, a team comprised of former law enforcement professionals, work alongside investigating officers in a support role to actively assist in the investigation of missing children cases, driving leads and case developments.
Emergency Response: When a child goes missing, the MCSC sends pertinent, time-sensitive and geographically pinpointed push notifications and alert information to Canadians, rallying the community to help recover missing children faster than ever before.
Family Support: We help searching families by finding and referring them to resources in their community, linking them to services including professional counseling and peer support programs.
The Humber Scholarship Fund is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of the students and ensuring they can focus on their studies with peace of mind and without financial worry.
The monetary award is given to two students (one per session) that have continuously, throughout the year and during the Capstone project, demonstrated professionalism, work ethics, leadership and teamwork. The students are faculty nominated and selected at the end of the academic year. Nominated individuals are announced in May-June and awards are given during the Business School Award ceremony in February, the year after.
